Welcome Home

Isaiah,

You have finally made it here. You were born June 3rd, 2014 at 6:31 p.m.  You weighed 7 lbs., 5 ozs. and was 20 inches long. Mommy and Daddy were both surprised you arrived on your due date. They say only 3-5% of babies actually arrive on their due date. We were scheduled for induction on June 6th, but so happy you decided to come on your own.

You gave us a little scare during delivery. Every time Mommy had a contraction, your heart rate would dip real low. We discovered the umbilical cord was wrapped around your head, so you were having a hard time breathing. Luckily, Deb (Deb Logan, the midwife that delivered you) was able to work it off of you and you were delivered perfectly.

Several people came to see you on your first night in the world: Grandma, Grandpa, Nana, Papa, Miss Krista and most important, your BIG brother, Elijah.  Elijah was so excited his little brother was finally out of Mommy's tummy. You started crying while he was there and he sang you the "ABC" song. He already loves you so much.

Welcome to the world, Isaiah Van Nguyen. We love you!

Another Blessing

We have waited over 2 years for you. You definitely made your presence know differently than your brother. I never got sick with your big brother, Elijah, but you let me know real quick that was not going to happen with you. The stomach flu was going around and Elijah got it. Then I started feeling sick and figured I had it too, but after three weeks of being nauseous I knew something must be up.

We discovered I was pregnant with you at 7 weeks. We were so excited! Daddy and Mommy had been praying for you. God has his perfect timing and this was it. Elijah will be three when you are born. This, I think, is a great age difference between you two.

Mommy just wants you to know you are a blessing from God and He knew you before we even knew you were here.  Daddy and Mommy can't wait to meet you.
