6 Months - Half a Year

I can not believe you are 6 months old already. What a great month it has been! You tried your first food: bananas. I'm not really sure how much of it made it into your mouth, but you had fun trying it out.

Not everything went your way this month and you let us know about it. One thing we know about you is that you express yourself!

Here comes that first tooth. I think I may see another one trying to make it's way out. Will it be one or two? All I know is that you have been drooling EVERYWHERE.

"Look Mom, I have feet!" You discovered your feet this month.

First Christmas

Merry Christmas, baby. We celebrated our first Christmas with many celebrations. We started our festivities at Papa and Nana's house on Christmas Eve. Your uncles, aunts, and cousins were all there. Your cousins couldn't wait to give you your presents and watch you open them.

The next morning we had our Christmas at home. We started by eating cinnamon rolls for Jesus' birthday and then Daddy read the Christmas story from the Bible. After that, you and Brother opened your presents. (Okay, Mommy and Daddy opened your presents.)

Later that morning Grandpa and Grandma came over to video chat with Uncle Chris, Aunt Stacy, and Heather and then to open presents. You loved the hat Aunt Stacy made you!

For lunch we went to the nursing home to have Christmas with Granny and Grandma's side of the family. You had fun just sitting in Granny's lap watching everyone running around.

5 Month Old

What an exciting month! Your first Thanksgiving! We enjoyed the day with family. We went to the nursing home to visit Granny and spend time with family and then we went to Nana and Papa's for supper.

You have been busy this month also. You are now a sitter and you are pulling up on your hands and knee, the beginnings of crawling. I think your brother likes to see you able to do more and more. He can't wait to play with you. You are still a drool monster but no teeth have made their appearance yet.

This month you got your first boo boo. You hit your head on the coffee table and it bruised up pretty good. Also, you have started have a strange reaction when you are nursing sometimes. Half of your face will turn red - right down the middle. Dr. Conner thinks it may be a slight circulation problem, but nothing to worry about.

Look at the face!
